Fractochales: 3D Lightning Simulator
A downloadable Fractochales for Windows, macOS, and Android
Program that simulates the behavior of electric bolts through various environments, focusing on their tendencies to follow the path of least resistance and appear self-similar. It uses 3D rendering to display them on screen and includes several customization and gamification options. Useful for understanding electricity and to conduct research on lightnings.
Fractochales was created by 3 independent Computer Science Engineering students: David Emmanuel Santana Romero, Mauricio Alcántar Dueñas & Diego Emilio Casta Valle. Support our projects by donating and/or paying for our software!
Troubleshooting
- macOS
- I cannot open the app.
- Only under first run, press Ctrl and click the app, then select Open. This happens due to our team being unable to afford an Apple Developer license to sign the executable.
- I cannot move in-app.
- It pretty much has to do with the executable not having keystroke permissions. Head to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Input Monitoring then allow Fractochales.
- Unable to save language, dismiss pop up and/or export OBJ.
- Move the app into your Apps folder.
- I cannot open the app.
